Eco-Friendly and Hand-Screen Printed Flour Sack "Aunty's Shishito Garden" Kitchen Tea Towel. This funny cat dish towel was illustrated and hand-printed using silk screen by Mina Wilcox with joy from her small art studio in California.

= Aunty's Shishito Pepper Garden with Lucky Gecko =
The Shishito Peper is small and finger-long, slender, and thin-walled. Although it turns from green to red upon ripening, it is usually harvested while green. About one out of every ten peppers is spicy. Mild, Mild, Mild, Hot!... The hit of heat and suspense is addicting.

+Aunty’s Recipe+
Heat sesame oil in a heavy skillet over medium-high Heat, and cook the peppers, occasionally turning, until they begin to blister on all sides. Sprinkle with a bit of brown sugar, sake, and soy sauce. They are ready to enjoy!

Flour Sack Towels - Then and Now
From the 1850s to the 1950s, everything from flour, sugar, chicken feed, sausage, and even voting ballots was packaged in tightly woven cotton bags known as 'FLOUR SACKS.' Thrifty housewives would wash and bleach the sacks, then cut and sew them into underwear, pillowcases, toys, dresses, and, most commonly, kitchen towels. These towels are highly absorbent and lint-free, and their popularity has been passed down from mother to daughter. Today, in the United States, they are known as nostalgic towels used by grandmothers.
